The cutoff date is March 31 of the exam year because that's when Sainik Schools check the candidate's age. The academic year starts in June-July, but age is calculated as of March 31.
If your child is younger than the minimum age, they can attempt AISSEE in a future year. If they're older than the maximum age, unfortunately they cannot apply for that class entry. Use our calculator to find the right year to attempt.
